Overview The City of Beaumont invites you to serve on the Beaumont Public Library Board. There are seven (7) vacancies as of December 31, 2025. Jurisdiction City of Beaumont Youth Advisory Committee Bylaw Bylaw- -Youth-Advisory-Committee.pdf Mandate The Youth Advisory Committee provides advice to Council on matters that have a significant impact to youth in Beaumont, such as, but not limited to mental health supports, youth activities and programming, volunteer and employment supports, and civic engagement. Membership & Term The Committee shall consist of five (5) to nine (9) members appointed by Council. Members are appointed for a two (2)-year term, and no member shall serve more than two (2) consecutive two (2)-year terms. Members must be residents of Beaumont. Public Members must be residents of the City and must be between the age of 15 and 19 at the time of appointment. Time Commitment Meetings are held monthly on the fourth Wednesday of the month at 6:00pm at one of the city facilities. A minimum of 10 meetings a year unless otherwise determined by the committee. Remuneration Committee members are eligible for an honorarium. Skills, abilities, and experience Demonstrate a willingness to learn and engage in community development and initiatives that are specific to youth. Able to convey ideas clearly and listen actively. Work effectively within a team. Plan and prioritize to ensure you can dedicate enough time to make a meaningful impact. Be punctual and reliable to show respect for both your fellow volunteers and the community. A willingness to think strategically for the best interests of the community.
