General Labourer - Palletizer (Nisku)

Join our team as a General Labourer (Palletizer) if you like to be responsible to lift packed product onto a pallet and successfully move finished pallets into the shrink wrap area as per LPC spec. This role will report to the Production Supervisor and will be based at our Nisku, AB facility. The standard workweek is Sunday to Thursday from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., with flexibility to work morning shift, afternoon shift, overtime and weekends when required. Key Responsibilities: Product Handling & Palletizing - Safely lift and stack packed boxes (up to 50 lbs) onto pallets following product specifications. - Wrap completed pallets in plastic, apply correct labels, and transport them to the shrink wrap area using a manual pallet jack. - Apply barcode labels accurately to each individual box and neatly stack leftover cardboard boxes by size and type. Quality, Housekeeping & Safety - Visually inspect packed boxes to ensure quality standards are met; remove any damaged or unacceptable product. - Report excessive product defects to the Machine Operator or Production Supervisor. - Maintain a clean, organized work area and ensure floors are free of packaging waste and product debris. - Support product changeovers by clearing and cleaning equipment and floor areas. - Follow all safety protocols and company policies, including proper use of PPE and prompt reporting of any safety concerns or incidents. Team Support - Perform other related tasks as directed by the Plant leadership or Machine Operator to support overall team efficiency and operations. Desired Qualifications: - Physically fit and able to safely lift and stack boxes weighing up to 50 lbs. - Basic English skills to read, understand, and follow instructions, including safety and operational guidelines. - Previous experience using a pallet jack is considered an asset. Key Competencies: - Strong team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn. - Able to thrive in a fast-paced and constantly changing production environment. - Detail-oriented with good organizational skills. Work Conditions: This is a plant-based role and will be required to abide by Positive Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Personal Protective Equipment based on the job requirements where required. The successful candidate may be required to frequently lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Exertion of physical strength to push, pull, move and lift objects up to 50 pounds from one level to another at varying heights. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee may be subject to cold, dust, odors, noise, and hazards, such as closeness to moving mechanical parts and exposure to powered machinery. Language Skills: This role must be able to clearly and effectively communicate with employees, management, and external vendors. Proficiency in English is required. Why Join us?
