Early Childhood Educators Level 2 or 3 (South Central Edmonton)

Your passion for early childhood education will help shape positive experiences that lay the foundation for lifelong success. - Design and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum tailored to the needs of children in the Infant and OSC room, incorporating literacy education, physical education, and Montessori principles where applicable. - Plan and execute engaging lesson plans that promote childhood development across all domains, including social-emotional skills, motor skills, and early intervention strategies. - Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment by managing classroom routines and ensuring adherence to child welfare standards. - Collaborate with families, specialists in special education, and other educators to support children with diverse needs, including those requiring additional early intervention services. - Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor progress and inform instructional strategies. - Maintain accurate records of daily activities, attendance, developmental milestones, and incident reports to ensure compliance with licensing requirements and best practices. - Extensive knowledge of childhood development theories and early childhood education methodologies such as Montessori or preschool curricula. - Proven experience working with children in daycare settings. - Strong skills in curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, and behavior management strategies. - Ability to adapt teaching approaches for children with special needs or those requiring early intervention support. - Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners. - Familiarity with literacy education techniques and teaching physical education activities that promote healthy development.
