The Opportunity EZ DEF is seeking a dependable and hard-working Class 1 Driver / Warehouse Operator to support both transportation and warehouse operations. This is a hybrid role that combines local and regional driving responsibilities with hands-on warehouse and operational support. The successful candidate will split their time approximately 50/50 between driving and warehouse activities depending on operational requirements. This role is primarily local with drivers home most nights; however, flexibility to spend a few nights per month on the road could be required to support operational needs. The Role This position is responsible for: - Local and regional customer deliveries - Warehouse operations and material handling - Safe operation and inspection of fleet vehicles - Loading and unloading product - Inventory organization and order preparation - Supporting daily operational requirements across the facility Day in the Life - Perform local and regional deliveries to customer locations - Spend approximately 50% of time driving and 50% supporting warehouse operations - Conduct pre-trip, in-trip, and post-trip inspections - Complete electronic logbooks and transportation documentation - Load, unload, stage, and secure materials safely - Operate forklifts and material handling equipment - Pick and prepare customer orders accurately - Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization - Assist with inventory counts and stock organization - Coordinate with operations and dispatch to support daily workflow - Represent EZ DEF professionally at customer locations - Primarily local work with occasional overnight trips (a few nights per month) Safety & Compliance - Follow all transportation and workplace safety regulations - Maintain safe driving habits and operate equipment responsibly - Complete required inspections and documentation accurately - Identify and report hazards, incidents, or maintenance concerns - Ensure proper load securement and weight distribution - Maintain a clean and safe working environment Experience & Requirements - Valid Class 1 license with clean abstract - 3+ years of commercial driving experience preferred - Comfortable with physical work and warehouse responsibilities - 3+ years of forklift experience preferred - Strong understanding of load securement and protected material handling - Ability to complete electronic logs and documentation accurately - Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team - Flexible and willing to support operational needs as required Compensation & Schedule - $26.00 – $30.00 per hour (based on experience) - Average 45–55 hours per week - Full-time, permanent position - Home most nights - Comprehensive benefits package - Retirement savings program - Stable, year-round work What We’re Looking For We’re looking for someone who is: - Reliable and dependable - Safety-focused - Comfortable in both driving and warehouse environments - Willing to work hard and support the team - Professional with customers and coworkers - Able to adapt to changing daily priorities Apply Today If you’re looking for a secure, long-term opportunity with a growing company and a strong team culture, we’d like to hear from you.
