Job Overview We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Hostess to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. The ideal candidate will excel in guest services, possess excellent communication skills, and have experience in hospitality or food service environments. This role is vital in ensuring smooth seating arrangements, managing reservations, and providing exceptional customer service to enhance the overall dining experience. Duties - Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage wait times efficiently - Escort guests to their tables and provide menus promptly - Handle reservations and seating arrangements using POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms - Maintain a clean and organized host stand area - Answer phone inquiries with professional phone etiquette and assist with reservation bookings - Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service - Manage guest flow during busy hours to optimize seating efficiency - Assist with special requests and accommodate guest needs courteously - Uphold high standards of hospitality and customer service throughout all interactions Qualifications - Previous experience in guest services, serving, or hospitality preferred, especially within restaurants or hotels - Robust communication skills and the ability to engage with diverse guests effectively - Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms is a plus - Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism - Knowledge of restaurant operations and food service industry standards is advantageous - Prior restaurant or hotel experience is desirable but not mandatory; a positive attitude and eagerness to learn are essential This position offers an engaging work environment where excellent customer service skills are valued.
