Engineering Student Nisku

We are seeking Mechanical Students for our Canadian Industrial Division to work in Nisku, AB. The positions are 8 months starting September 2026 and will be supervised by a Project Manager. Responsibilities Assisting with project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, and cost control Reviewing drawings Coordinating work specific scope / trades Verifying material quantities, hours, and rates Participating in project meetings Submitting requests for information Inputting / Updating deficiency logs Producing as-built drawings Performing quantity takeoffs Conducting safety inspections Communicating changes with craft personnel Setting up / Maintaining record keeping Ad-hoc duties as required Qualifications Pursuing a degree or diploma in engineering with a mechanical or civil major Candidates must have a solid desire to work in a construction environment and prior field construction experience will be considered an asset Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet applications, and drafting software will be required Ability to work in a fast-paced workplace Self‑motivated Working Conditions Successful applicants must provide their own CSA‑approved steel‑toed boots and be willing to undergo a Pre‑Access Alcohol & Drug Test The fabrication facility is not easily accessible by public transportation, so the successful applicant will need access to a vehicle Next Step Candidates who have been selected to move forward will receive an email to complete a short online video interview The PCL Companies celebrate diversity and are proud to be an equal‑prospect employer.
