Entry Level Sales and Service Route Driver, Nisku

Safety-Kleen in Nisku, AB is seeking an Entry level Sales and Service Representative (SSR) to join their safety conscious team. This is a Driver in Training position that will learn the safe transport of hazardous and regulated waste materials using box trucks, tankers, vans, and roll-off dump trucks. The role involves moving materials between customer sites, company facilities, and approved disposal locations while strictly following Transport Canada and Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) regulations.

Responsibilities

Learn to transport hazardous waste safely in compliance with Transport Canada and TDG regulations.

Ensure proper loading and unloading of hazardous /non-hazardous waste, including segregation of drums.

Adhere to weight limits and ensure proper utilization of company equipment.

Transfer material, equipment, kits, and supplies required for efficient material flow through production and assembly areas.

Physically transfer material to assembly workstations, maintain bench stock, and handle completed assemblies and jobs between work areas or cost centers. Locate and transfer part shortages within the warehouse required for completion of assemblies.

Verify and maintain associated stock records, logs, shortage reports and other documentation.

Utilize small hand tools and operate material handling equipment including forklifts, pallet handlers, skids, hand trucks and similar equipment.

Learn correct placarding of vehicles to meet company, Transport Canada, and transportation of dangerous goods (TDG) requirements and regulations.

Maintain daily logs, worksheets, timecards, expense reports, dispatch and trip reports, and vehicle inspection reports.

Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Valid Class 5 driver’s license and reliable transportation required; Class 3 license is a strong asset.

Clean driving record.

Experience in an industrial or warehousing environment with inventory responsibilities.

Forklift operating experience highly preferred.

Strong communication and relationship‑building skills to assist customers.

Vacuum truck operating experience is a strong asset.

Experience in the hazardous waste or environmental services industry is an asset.

Comfortable working in a physically demanding role that also includes sales responsibilities.

Strong computer skills and proficiency with basic software applications required.
