Production Supervisor Founded in 1994, Silent-Aire is a technology-driven company that designs, engineers, and manufactures hyperscale cooling and modular data center solutions. Silent-Aire employs over 3000 people, with 13 manufacturing facilities and more than 1 million sq/ft of capacity across Edmonton, Alberta; Gilbert, Arizona; and Dublin, Ireland. To learn more, visit You Will Do You will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of production and operation workers—approximately 40 to 75 employees—such as assemblers, electricians, inspectors, and precision workers, while ensuring that production schedules are created and completed on time, safely, and within budget.
Shift Schedule
Weekday Night Shift: 6pm-5:30am Monday-Thursday
How You Will Do It
Direct the manufacturing workforce to achieve production goals.
Enforce safety and sanitation regulations.
Anticipate production obstacles and manage team and stakeholders to overcome them.
Provide leadership and ownership of product quality while consulting with quality staff and engineers.
Resolve worker problems, complaints, and production issues.
Motivate employees to increase morale, efficiency, and production rates.
Process and approve hourly timesheets promptly.
Monitor employee performance, attendance, and scheduling.
Ensure work orders are completed on time and within budget.
Prioritize safety, enforce adherence to Alberta and Canadian OHS guidelines, and attend JHSA meetings when required.
Coordinate operations with other supervisors across departments.
Demonstrate equipment operations and safety procedures to new employees or train employees under experienced workers.
Read and analyze production documents to determine requirements and take action to meet deadlines.
Review manufacturing engineering packages and provide improvement feedback.
Perform duties in accordance with Johnson Controls/Silent-Aire safety standards and Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act and regulations.
Other duties as required.
Requirements
3+ years’ experience as a production supervisor.
Journeyperson electrician.
Direct working knowledge of operations, warehouse, and transportation management.
Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and service ordering and inventory control.
Knowledge of local and federal regulations including AOHS and Employment Standards Code.
Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong customer service orientation.
Experience with safety practices in manufacturing processes.
Ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
Adherence to safety policies (wear protective equipment).
Shift hours: Monday–Thursday 6:15pm–5:45am.
Preferred Qualifications
University degree or diploma in a related field.
Training and knowledge of Six Sigma, Kaizen, and Lean manufacturing.
First Aid skills and/or certificates.
