The Best Western Premier Denham Inn & Suites has a newly renovated restaurant: O’Brian’s, Jonathan's Lounge and 5,000 square feet of banquet / meeting space. This hands-on, working position will be responsible for assisting the Chef with the successful execution of the daily operations of the kitchen including: - Perform in all kitchen positions as required (line, prep, banquets, buffets) - Lead & coach the kitchen team towards providing the highest levels of service & hospitality - Build on our reputation for providing high quality, visually attractive & flavorful food offerings - Supervise the preparation and cooking of various food items - Mentor kitchen team members including coaching, evaluating & training - Ensure the highest levels of cleanliness and sanitation Qualifications: - Red Seal and / or Culinary Arts Diploma an asset - Minimum 2 years’ experience working on the line - Minimum 1 year experience Supervising other workers - Passion about Culinary Arts, A knack for taking the ordinary and making it extraordinary - Excellent leadership, interpersonal & customer service skills - Stable Work History - Ability to train, mentor & empower - High level of enthusiasm and energy - Ability to work well under pressure - Creative, detail oriented, independent team player What we have to offer: *An environment committed to giving Legendary Service to our guests and to our colleagues *A friendly and helpful team of individuals; plenty of opportunities for learning and growth *A competitive salary and bonus program depending on experience and education *Excellent Perks (eligible after 3 month probationary period, shared cost), an employer matching RRSP program (after 1 year), on-going training, access to state of the art fitness facilities, fun Social Events and more Position Requirements *Full time, permanent *Availability to include: Evenings, Weekend and Holidays Location: 5207 50 Ave, Leduc, Alberta, T9E 5V3 If you are a passionate, customer service oriented, team player please apply via email with a cover letter and resume.
