Overview We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead our retail operations. The ideal candidate will possess robust leadership skills, extensive retail management experience, and a proven track record in team management, sales, and customer service. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee store performance, develop strategic initiatives, and ensure operational excellence across all departments. Bilingual abilities and a background in merchandising, marketing, and administrative functions are highly valued. Responsibilities - Oversee daily store operations, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning of all departments - Lead, motivate, and supervise staff to achieve sales targets and deliver exceptional customer service - Develop and implement sales strategies, marketing plans, and promotional activities to increase store traffic and revenue - Manage inventory purchasing, pricing strategies, merchandising displays, and POS systems to optimize sales opportunities - Handle budgeting, financial reporting, bookkeeping, payroll processing, and cash handling procedures - Recruit, interview, train, and develop team members to foster a high-performance work environment - Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching for staff development - Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and legal regulations - Manage customer relations by resolving complaints effectively and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction - Coordinate marketing initiatives and community engagement efforts to enhance brand visibility - Utilize strong communication skills for staff meetings, training sessions, and stakeholder interactions Requirements - Proven experience in retail management or store leadership roles with supervising experience - Strong skills in negotiation, sales management, merchandising, pricing strategies, and marketing - Proficiency with POS systems, cash handling procedures, bookkeeping software, and administrative tasks - Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently - Exceptional communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus - Demonstrated leadership capabilities with team management experience in a fast-paced environment - Knowledge of budgeting processes, payroll administration, recruiting techniques, and training & development practices - Ability to perform math accurately for pricing calculations and financial reporting - Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively - Customer service orientation with professional phone etiquette and interpersonal skills This role is integral to the success of our retail operations. We seek a motivated leader committed to excellence who can drive growth while fostering a positive environment for staff and customers alike.
