Senior Accountant (Beaumont)

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. As a Senior Accountant, you will prepare and maintain financial and business transactions, applying accounting principles, that include work that is analytical, evaluative, and advisory in nature and that requires an understanding of SAP system, accounting theory and practice. Responsibilities: - Perform general accounting of the parts resale and service division - Run and review field service timesheets for payroll report and monthly reporting - Review AMEX airfare report and post to the applicable jobs - Review expense report submissions of field service technician and regular employees before posting to SAP, including the corporate Mastercard expense reports - Create customer invoices for parts resale and service division - Prepare commission invoices for parts resale and service division - Analysis and report on service and resale business - Organize reporting on fixed assets, including opening and closing projects and running depreciation in SAP - Review of the logistics field service and assembly costs for material recovery and provide copies of invoices to contract administrator - Prepare monthly project accruals for parts resale and service division - Perform WIP reconciliation for parts resale and service division - Perform Warranty analysis and recovery for service division - Perform invoice accounting review in SAP Concur - Assist each department with their SAP concerns - Prepare account reconciliations - Participate in SAP improvement projects (Both Winnipeg and Regina) - Respond to external auditor queries - Reconcile some P&L; accounts to ensure accuracy of monthly balances - Prepare Ad Hoc reports as requested by other departments Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Management, or Mathematics - CPA Accounting designated or working towards a CPA designation is an asset - Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience, preferably within one of the following sectors: manufacturing, construction, transportation - Proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Advanced Excel and SAP - Advanced computer literacy - Superior organization, time management and team-building skills - Accuracy and attention to detail - Ability to work on multiple projects, meet deadlines, and prioritize workload - Ability to work independently and in a team environment - Highly analytical and detail-oriented - Outstanding numeric and mathematical skills - High levels of integrity and honesty PTI Transformers LP is an equal opportunity employer.
