Description
We are looking for a full-time Legal Assistant in our busy Killam Office. Experience in real estate, wills & estates is preferred but we are willing to train the right candidate. Duties will include: - Preparing documents for sale, purchase and mortgage transactions - Preparing Wills, Enduring Powers of Attorney and Personal Directives; - Preparing applications for Grants of Probate and Administration - Answering phones, booking appointments and greeting clients - Correspondence with clients, lenders, brokers and lawyers Skills: - Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Attention to detail for proofreading documents Qualifications: - Previous experience as a legal assistant or in a related field is preferred but not required - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) - Ability to work independently and as part of a team Salary based on experience Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour Advantages: - Dental care - Extended health care Ability to commute/relocate: - Killam, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Education: - Secondary School (preferred) Experience: - legal assistant: 1 year (preferred) Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2p08vq
