Overview We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Kitchen Manager to oversee daily operations in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant management experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves supervising kitchen staff, ensuring food safety standards, managing food preparation and cooking processes, and maintaining a high level of hospitality. Previous experience in food industry settings such as restaurants, hotels, or bars is highly desirable. The Kitchen Manager will play a key role in maintaining operational excellence and fostering a positive team environment. Responsibilities - Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality food preparation - Supervise and train kitchen staff, including interviewing and onboarding new team members - Manage food safety standards and ensure compliance with health regulations - Coordinate food handling, cooking, and presentation to meet quality standards - Utilize POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling - Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and control food costs - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area - Lead by example in delivering excellent customer service and hospitality - Manage restaurant management tasks including scheduling, staff supervision, and performance evaluations - Ensure proper food storage and adherence to safety protocols in line with industry best practices Requirements - Proven experience in restaurant management or food service leadership roles - Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling techniques - Supervising experience within the food industry or hospitality sector - Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS and cash handling procedures - Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster teamwork - Experience with interviewing, hiring, and training restaurant personnel - Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the industry - Previous hotel or barista experience is a plus but not required - Demonstrated leadership abilities combined with excellent customer service skills - Ability to thrive in a quick-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail This position offers an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to lead a vibrant culinary team while ensuring operational excellence.
