Description
We are looking for a full time Legal Assistant in our busy Killam Office. Experience in real estate, wills & estates is preferred but we are willing to train the right candidate. Duties will include: Preparing documents for sale, purchase and mortgage transactions Preparing Wills, Enduring Powers of Attorney and Personal Directives; Preparing applications for Grants of Probate and Administration Answering phones, booking appointments and greeting clients Correspondence with clients, lenders, brokers and lawyers Skills: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively Excellent written and verbal communication skills Attention to detail for proofreading documents Qualifications: Previous experience as a legal assistant or in a related field is preferred but not required Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) Ability to work independently and as part of a team Salary based on experience Job Type: Full time Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour Advantages: Dental care Extended health care Ability to commute/relocate: Killam, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Education: Secondary School (preferred) Experience: legal assistant: 1 year (preferred) Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2pgph8
