Active or eligible for registration and a practice permit as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). Additional Required Qualifications: Successful completion of CLPNA modules - Standards of Practice on Restricted Activities and Advanced Practice as well as certifications in required competencies. Direct IV Administration and PICC Certification. Basic keyboarding/computer skills are required. Excellent communication skills and the ability to balance numerous demands and conflicting priorities are essential. The candidate must be able to work well independently and within a team. Demonstrates critical thinking skills within LPN scope of practice, including clinical judgment, problem solving skills and strong decision-making ability. Must be able to work in a physically challenging environment; constant walking, lifting, bending and heavy pushing/pulling necessary. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working within the CoACT/CareHub framework and Connect Care experience preferred. Experience in the care of medical patients is desired.
