Shift Schedule
Weekday Night Shift: 6pm-5:30am (Monday-Thursday). Weekend Night Shift: 6pm-5:30am (Friday-Sunday). Responsibilities
You will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of production and operation workers (approximately 50-75 employees), such as assemblers, inspectors, precision workers, machine operators, fabricators, and plant and system operators while ensuring that production schedules are created and completed on time, safely, and within budget. You will direct the manufacturing workforce to achieve production goals, enforce safety and sanitation regulations, anticipate production obstacles and manage team and stakeholders to overcome them, provide leadership and ownership of product quality, consult with Quality staff and Engineers on quality issues, manage worker problems and production issues, motivate employees, process and approve hourly timesheets and correct exceptions, monitor employee performance, attendance, scheduling, ensure work orders are completed on time, oversee safety adherence, coordinate operations with other supervisors, demonstrate equipment operations and safety procedures, read and analyze production reports, evaluate production estimates and outputs, provide improvement feedback on engineering packages, perform all duties in accordance with company safety programmes and Alberta Occupational Health&Safety Act, and perform other duties as required. Qualifications
3+ years’ experience as a production supervisor Direct working knowledge of operations, warehouse, and transportation management Knowledge of supplies, equipment and/or services ordering, and inventory control Knowledge of local and federal regulations including AOHS and Employment Standards CodeExcellent analytical and problem‑solving skills Strong written and verbal communication skills with all levels and executive team Strong customer service orientation Experience with safe practices, procedures and overall manufacturing processes from raw materials to finished product Ability to maintain high level of communication with internal and external stakeholders, customers, contractors, and industry peersAlways adhere to safety policies (wear protective equipment) Preferred:
Trades school/ticket and/or University degree or diploma in related field Training and knowledge of Six Sigma techniques, Kaizen, and Lean Manufacturing First Aid skills and/or certificates HIRING SALARY RANGE: $71,000-96,000 CAD (Salary determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, internal equity, location and market data.)
