Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering nurturing and stimulating environments for young children. This role involves working closely with children aged 12 months-5 years, implementing programs as a member of a team, to provide a quality child care experience for children and their parents, based on current child development knowledge and appropriate Early Childhood practices.Responsibilities
Work as an effective team member in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of a stimulating, nurturing and safe environment that enhances the total development of each child. Interact with the children in ways that promotes self-confidence, language skills, curiosity and a desire to learn. Interact with children in kind, caring and respectful ways.Plan a variety of responsive experiences, supported by observations, to foster the holistic play‑based goals (Well-Being, Play and Playfulness, Communication and Literacies, and Diversity and Social Responsibility), child development and interests. Use observations to intentionally plan a variety of responsive experiences in all areas of play, based on children’s interests and needs daily.Engage in play with children in the co‑construction of knowledge (co‑learner, co‑researcher, and co‑imaginer of possibilities). Initiate play with a variety of activities, materials, or provocations that stimulate thinking, growth, and development. Be knowledgeable of and carry out the Early Learning and Child Care Regulationsas per the Early Learning and Child Care Act.Use approach and strategies that recognize equity, diversity, and inclusion.
