Overview

Silent-Aire Limited Partnership is a wholly owned subsidiary of Johnson Controls. Silent-Aire is a technology-driven company that designs, engineers and manufactures hyperscale cooling and modular data center solutions. This role is located at our facility in Nisku and you must have reliable transportation to commute. The Forklift Operator will work Monday to Thursday night shift (6PM– 5:30AM) or rotating days (6AM to 6PM, including weekends).Responsibilities

Operate lifting devices, e.g., forklifts, hoists, elevating platforms, lift beams and swivel hooks inside and outside. Confirm inventory transactions are complete. Manually load and unload materials from pallets, skids, platforms, cars, and lifting devices. Put away received materials to proper storage locations.Determine the correct tools and equipment needed to do a job. Accurately ship and receive product. Assist with inventory and weighing/checking of materials. Support inventory control with accurate documentation. Perform routine maintenance on vehicles and auxiliary equipment. Accurately weigh and document materials.Participate in cleanup of yard and facility. Perform all duties in accordance with Silent‑Aire Limited Partnership safety program standards and Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulations and Code. Perform other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills&Abilities

Minimum of 2years' experience working as a forklift operator in a warehouse/shipping environment with a valid forklift license from an accredited training program (class1,4,5). Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures. Ability to communicate well in English via radio and in-person; clear speech.Knowledge of safe lifting and handling techniques. Must be able to carry and move equipment and/or supplies in excess of 40pounds. Able to work independently and in a team. Working Conditions

Exercise caution as the environment presents many naturally occurring hazards. Always adhere to safety policies (wear protective equipment). Employees may be exposed to uncomfortable work settings such as cold or hot weather outdoors; may have combinations of standing, crouching, or sitting throughout the day. Fast-paced environment.
