Server/Cashier (Indian Restauarant) (Leduc)

Job Summary We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server/Cashier to join our Indian restaurant team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, handle transactions accurately, and ensure a welcoming dining experience. This role involves taking orders, serving food, managing the cash register, and maintaining sanitation standards. Previous food service and restaurant experience are preferred, along with strong customer service skills and familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS. The position offers an opportunity to grow within the hospitality industry while delivering authentic Indian cuisine to our valued guests. Responsibilities - Greet guests warmly and provide attentive guest services throughout their dining experience - Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems, including Micros POS - Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring presentation standards are met - Handle cash, credit card transactions, and process payments efficiently with proper cash handling procedures - Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities - Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dining areas, tables, and service stations in compliance with food safety standards - Assist in food preparation or kitchen support as needed to ensure smooth operations - Manage guest inquiries or complaints professionally to ensure a positive dining setting - Follow all sanitation, safety, and food handling protocols diligently Experience - Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided - Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus - Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours - Knowledge of food safety, sanitation practices, and basic math for cashiering tasks - Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and ability to upsell menu items effectively - Experience in hospitality or the food industry will be advantageous for success in this role Pay: $15.00-$17.00 per hour Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2psubs
