Production B-Pressure Welder (By Hand) (Nisku)

We are currently seeking experienced Journeyperson B-Pressure Production Welders to join our fabrication team in Alberta’s energy sector. This is a shop-based production role focused on pressure piping and structural fabrication in accordance with ABSA and ASME requirements. Ignite your career with us! What we offer: - Competitive subcontractor rates available - Overtime paid at 1.5x after 40 hours - A comfortable 5 on, 2 off rotation (local work – no camp) - Consistent shop-based production work - Immediate start - Employee Assistance Program What you get to do: - Weld carbon and stainless-steel pressure piping in a fabrication shop environment - Perform SMAW (stick), GMAW (STT)/FCAW and GTAW (TIG) welding in 2G, 5G and/or 6G positions - Follow approved WPS and adhere to ABSA and ASME Section IX requirements - Apply proper preheat and interpass temperatures per WPS - Maintain weld quality to meet RT/UT/NDE acceptance standards - Read and interpret isometric drawings and spool sheets - Perform visual inspection of completed welds prior to QC review - Maintain a clean and safe work area in accordance with Phoenix Industrial’s safety standards What we’re looking for: - Valid Alberta Journeyperson Welder Certificate (Red Seal if out-of-province) - Valid B-Pressure Welding Certificate - Current Welding Performance Qualification tickets (within 6 months or ability to recertify) - Experience welding pressure piping in a production fabrication environment - Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation - CSTS-2020 Ticket - WHMIS 2015 Ticket - Successful completion of pre-employment weld testing if required - Successful completion of pre-access drug and alcohol testing Questions?
