Overview The Role: Class 1 Driver Frito Lay (a division of Pepsi Co)has a current opening for a Licensed Class 1 Driver. Why Drivefor Us? The assigned runs will be dependent on current business needs. Responsibilities Whatyoullbe working on: Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to): Operate a tractor/trailer truck to make long-distance pick-ups and deliveries of our finished products. Check andassistin the unloading of the trailer. Fully inspect the vehicle prior to beginning the route to ensure proper and safe handling conditions. Collect all proper authorizations prior to beginningroute. Maintainan accurateDOT log. Ensure safety and complianceofload. Regular and reliable attendance. Completing Quality/Food Safety training and adhering to the Food Safety Pre Requisite Programs (PRP/oPRP) thatisrequired for your area. Delivery of product to Frito Lay facilities and external customersin Western Canadawith single or Long Combination vehicles (LCVs). Offloadingtrailers withhandcarts orpalletizing casesat destination (average case weight is 4 kgs). Travelling safelycomplying with Frito Lay Canada controls, Traffic Safety legislation, and Commercial Vehicle regulations. Be customer focused and be a team player. Qualifications Key Qualifications: Valid Class 1 Drivers License. Please note: the successful candidate for this role must be able to provide3-year cleandriversabstract,pass a criminal backgroundcheck,andcomplete afunctional assessment. Valuable verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Able to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail. Able tomaintainprofessional disposition even when faced withdifficult situations. Able to complete routes safely in varied driving conditions.
