Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Landscape Labourer to join our team and contribute to the creation and maintenance of beautiful outdoor spaces. This role involves hands-on work in various landscaping projects, requiring physical stamina, attention to detail, and a passion for horticulture and construction. The ideal candidate will support landscape maintenance, installation, and repair activities, ensuring high-quality results that meet client expectations. Duties Assist with excavation tasks using mechanical equipment such as excavators to prepare sites for planting or construction. Perform landscape maintenance activities including mowing, trimming, planting, and mulching to keep outdoor areas well-maintained. Install and repair irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of landscapes. Use hand tools and power tools for tasks such as digging, cutting, and assembling landscape features. Support gardening and horticulture efforts by planting flowers, shrubs, trees, and maintaining healthy plant growth. Conduct general construction activities related to landscape projects, including setting up structures or features as specified in project plans. Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure safety and efficiency during work operations. Follow safety protocols during all tasks to maintain a protected working environment for all team members. Qualifications Prior experience with landscape maintenance, gardening, or horticulture is preferred but not required; training will be provided for specific equipment use. Mechanical knowledge related to operating machinery such as excavators is a plus. Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in landscaping and construction is desirable. Basic understanding of irrigation systems and landscape installation techniques is beneficial. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting heavy materials, digging, and standing for extended periods. Solid work ethic with attention to detail and a commitment to quality craftsmanship. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in outdoor environments under varying weather conditions.
