Do you have a passion for supporting Canadian farmers and are you looking for a full time Truck Driver position where you can be home most days while completing regular cross‑border work? If so, you may be the perfect fit for our Full‑Time Truck Driver role at Masterfeeds Lethbridge.
This position supports deliveries throughout Southern Alberta, with frequent runs into the United States (primarily Montana) and additional trips into British Columbia, as required.
Key Responsibilities
Safely transport feed products to customer locations in a timely and professional manner
Complete deliveries across Alberta, with frequent trips into the United States (primarily Montana) and additional runs into British Columbia
Maintain accurate documentation, including driver logbooks/E‑logs, vehicle inspection reports, maintenance and repair records, and load paperwork
Plan travel schedules and routes; communicate effectively with dispatch and office staff
Interact daily with customers and provide excellent customer service
Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections to ensure the safety and roadworthiness of vehicles and equipment
Adhere to all applicable traffic laws, regulations, and company policies, including Alberta Transportation, BC CVSE, and U.S. DOT requirements
Demonstrate a strong understanding of commercial transportation safety protocols and cross‑border compliance
Complete daily truck maintenance tasks, including end‑of‑day refuelling, greasing, and washing as required
Requirements
Legally eligible to work in Canada
Valid Alberta Class 1 Driver’s Licence with Q (air brake) endorsement
Clean commercial driver’s abstract
Completion of Mandatory Entry‑Level Training (MELT), as required under Alberta regulations
Minimum one (1) year of Class 1 driving experience preferred
Ability to complete local, short‑haul, and frequent cross‑border trips into the United States (primarily Montana), as well as trips into British Columbia
Valid passport and eligibility to travel into the United States
Ability to meet U.S. cross‑border requirements, including drug and alcohol testing, as applicable
Reliable attendance and flexibility to support part‑time scheduling needs
Comfortable using GPS and electronic logging devices
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal and written)
Preferred Qualifications
Previous cross‑border (U.S.) driving experience, particularly into Montana
Experience operating in mountain or winter driving conditions
Experience hauling bulk or agricultural products
Knowledge of agriculture and Western Canadian geography
Familiarity with border crossings, including customs and agricultural inspections, is considered an asset
High school diploma or equivalent
