Peak is a not-for-profit organization with a Lethbridge base that provides supports to people with developmental disabilities. Unlocking doors in our community for people with disabilities is Peak's main objective. These doorways include programs that aim to improve quality of life through the strengthening of skills. We are looking for a Human Resources Clerk Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate will have a balance between education, experience, and personal attributes: - a diploma in a relevant discipline, Business Administration, or Human Resources - Experience working in the field of human resources including recruitment or talent acquisition, benefits, data base management is a distinct advantage. - Prior experience in disability services is beneficial but not required. Personal Attributes: - Excellent knowledge of computer and data base applications - Excellent time management skills; effective priority management skills - Demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment - Team building skills - A positive attitude; enjoys working with people on a daily basis - Knowledge of performing conflict resolution and mediation techniques Key aspects of the role include: Data Base and Records Management - Educate both current and prospective employees on company policies regarding job duties, working conditions, safety, wages, career advancement opportunities, and employee benefits when applicable. - Maintain accurate records and compile statistical reports relating to personnel data, e.g. hires, transfers, absenteeism rates, and performance appraisals utilizing data base system. - Maintain human resources electronic file system including, New Employee documents and on-going file updates, as well as archiving annual file system includes removing employees who have resigned or been terminated. - Utilize multiple data base programs, g suite, internet on a daily basis - Assist in the data input, distribution of documents; review, design and implement HR documentation and suggest improvements - Provide daily supports to the HR department and working with HR in the delivery of Human Resources supports to the Service Coordinators. - Assist with monthly, quarterly and annual reports generated from the use of data base programs as well as analysis of the information and tools used to generate reports Recruitment and Onboarding of Recent Employees - Provide supports to HR in the dynamic recruiting life cycle: role development, screening, interviewing, reference checking, decision making, offering and hiring - Assist in the development and execution of an effective recruitment plan; assist with a multi-channel recruiting process, including search, internal recruiting, referrals, social networking etc. - Assist in the creation and delivery of an effective onboarding experience for new employees - Develop effective relationships with internal teams; identify needs; develop recruitment strategies Other Responsibilities - Collaborate with and work in conjunction with other members of the Human Resources department - Scheduling, Training, Payroll, Projects - Collaborate with members of the Service Delivery department - Collaborate with management in regards to auxiliary and affiliated organizations - Respond to and Complete surveys, questionnaires and reporting requirements for Peak and it’s affiliated organizations Job Type: Fixed term contract Contract length: 1 month Pay: $18.80-$20.00 per hour Benefits: - On-site parking Adaptable language requirement: - French not required Ability to commute/relocate: - Lethbridge, AB T1J 0G4: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Education: - Secondary School (preferred) Experience: - Administration: 1 year (preferred) Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2okx47
