Position Information Job Title Term Certain Instructor, Powerline Apprenticeship Appointment Type Full-time Temporary Position Dates Aug 2026-Jun 2027 Hours per week/FTE 1.0 FTE About the Position Lethbridge Polytechnic offers a student-centered environment that provides practical and innovative learning experiences. The Centre for Trades (CTRA) delivers a range of certificate and apprenticeship programs. The Centre defines itself through excellence in teaching and learning, fostering curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking in all activities: development and renewal of courses and programs, approaches to teaching and learning, and scholarly activity and community engagement by faculty, staff, and students. Position Details - Instruct various essential portions of the program - Content development and ongoing updates and maintenance - Manage class schedules - Track student progress and implement interventions as needed - Answer and respond to in-person, telephone, and email inquiries - Promote the program and facilitate recruitment of students - Purchase of materials and equipment - Provide reports and updates to the Associate Dean as needed - Establish and maintain critical relationships with key partners and stakeholders - Administrative tasks as needed Required Qualifications - Journeyman Red Seal Powerline Technician with a minimum of 5 years experience - Robust computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office - Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and foster relationships - Strong organizational skills - Strong oral and written communication skills - Ability to work well in a team environment, as well as independently Preferred Qualifications Instructional or training experience Salary Commensurate with education and experience according to the Faculty Collective Agreement.
