Shop Assistant Turin

Dutchie Dirt-Moving we are looking to add a motivated, hard working individual with mechanical aptitude to join our shop crew. Dutchie Dirt-Moving Ltd. is an excavation and gravel company that primarily serves the agriculture sector in Southern Alberta. We also work together closely with our sister company, Treadstone Machinery which sells the line of Elho Rock Pickers and other eqipment. We are a family-owned business that prides itself in serving our customers and providing superior service. Our shop is located near the town of Turin which is 35 minutes north of Lethbridge. Our ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and a focus on safety. It is equally important that they be willing and able to learn new skills and knowledge. There is a possibility to advance within the company after demonstrating a solid work ethic and mechanical aptitude. Job inclusions and requirements: -Repair and Maintenance of a wide variety of vehicles and equipment. -Accurately complete service reports and provide the details to complete work orders. -General labour as required at the shop. -Assist in keeping the work area clean. -Mechanically inclined with a high interest in developing further mechanical skills. -Able to work independently and with others. -Capable of troubleshooting and solving problems independently and as part of a team. -Willing to participate in company safety initiatives and policy. -Reliable and punctual, as well as, dedicated and trustworthy. -Must have the ability to reliably commute to the shop located near Turin AB. -Strong attention to detail, quality, accuracy and safety. -Adaptive learner with a positive attitude. -Will be required to use repetitive motion, reach, lift, kneel, walk, and stand for several hours at a time. Job Type: Full time and overtime as required (no Sundays). Wage per hour depends on your experience. Benefit package available after 3 months.
