In your role, you will be called upon to:
Establish and maintain strong business and contractual relationships with geographically dispersed strategic suppliers
Develop new supply sources and build strategic business relationships
Lead and participate in commodity development by managing projects that require the preparation of business plans
Lead, develop and execute commodity strategies and provide senior management with project and negotiation updates
Identify, analyze and materialize cost reduction opportunities
Develop, improve and maintain continuous dialogue with various internal and external stakeholders
Act as the single point of contact with suppliers for new business opportunities
Provide support to sites and business units regarding global procurement strategies
Coordinate and lead the negotiation of contractual claims with suppliers in support of production issues within business units
Support business units in the application of contractual clauses
Lead contract negotiations with suppliers
Ensure that contracts are maintained in accordance with our business requirements
Coordinate the activities of procurement agents in relation to balanced scorecard objectives, master plans and detailed plans
Support other procurement agents in negotiating contracts, commercial requests, product changes and contract amendments
Participate in the governance of cost reduction projects and properly maintain performance indicators for these projects
Your profile:
You hold an undergraduate degree in business administration, law, supply chain, or equivalent
You have four (4) to eight (8) years of relevant professional experience
You have experience in the aerospace and/or manufacturing industry and/or program management in a commercial role, an asset
You are recognized for your strong negotiation and project management skills
You are detail-oriented, focused and committed to meeting deadlines
You demonstrate excellent communication skills and are proficient in French and English, both spoken and written. Team spirit, innovation and leadership make you an effective person
You have good knowledge of operational and financial management, as well as contract terminology and legal interpretation
You are familiar with just-in-time supply logistics concepts, integrated supply chain and lean manufacturing
You are proficient with Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Outlook
Key Skills:
Contract management— experience in negotiation, contract language proficiency, reviewing terms and conditions
Relationship development— main contact with suppliers
Commodity management— experience in managing purchasing categories
Multitasking— ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously
Legal experience— an asset
Aerospace experience— an asset
Language: bilingual (French/English), an intermediate level in French may be considered
Estimated mandate duration: 6 to 12 months
