Role Overview
The Incident Response and Special Operations Department is responsible for protecting Desjardins Group employees and infrastructure from the full range of cyberthreats targeting the North American financial sector. As a Cyber Threat Intelligence Advisor, you’ll join the Cyber Threat Intelligence Team, whose priority is to anticipate and proactively counter external threats. By leading the collection and analysis of data on incidents and vulnerabilities, you’ll use your strong analytical skills to produce tactical, operational and strategic intelligence that security teams and organizational decision-makers can act on. Your work will include assessing emerging threats—from cybercrime to sophisticated threat actors—and decoding their operating methods. Responsibilities
Collect and analyze real-time or near real-time intelligence from security providers, open sources, internal feeds and external reports. If needed, you’ll use scripts (Python, PowerShell) to automate the collection, processing or analysis of this data to detect potential threats that could affect Desjardins employees, assets or operations.
Continuously monitor emerging threat trends and the operating methods of groups that pose a risk to Desjardins.
Act as an operational expert to contextualize cyber threats during incidents and support the incident response process by assessing Desjardins Group’s criticality and exposure using specialized tools.
Serve as an expert advisor to lead complex, cross-sector files that require alignment with multiple internal teams.
Produce and share cyber threat analyses with key internal partners.
Maintain strong relationships with internal collaborators and external sharing communities on various operational and strategic topics.
Help manage and oversee the Cyber Threat Intelligence Team's platforms and tools.
Help document and optimize processes related to the cyber threat intelligence practices.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in IT, cybersecurity or a related field
A minimum of four years of relevant experience
Other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
Experience in one or more areas, such as incident response, vulnerability management, SOC and cyber threat hunting
Experience with open source intelligence (OSINT) techniques and basic principles of cyber threat intelligence practices (like Pyramid of Pain, Traffic Light Protocol, intelligence life cycle, STIX/TAXII, MITRE ATT&CK Framework, TTPs)
Permit, certification, attestation, certificate - Do not confuse a certificate (diploma) with a certification
Knowledge of French is required
Advanced proficiency of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients
Technical expertise with intelligence platforms and investigation tools required for the full intelligence-production lifecycle
Proficiency in fundamental IT concepts in enterprise system architecture, networking principles and cloud computing environments
Advanced proficiency in data processing and visualization tools (Excel, Power BI) and presentation tools (PowerPoint); scripting skills (Python, PowerShell)
Knowledge of the cyber threat landscape, the cyber criminal ecosystem, threat actor profiles and their strategic motivations
