Salary: $130,000 – $180,000 (depending on experience)

About the Opportunity

Skyline Recruitment is working with a well-established and highly respected mining consulting firm to identify a Senior Mining Engineer with strong underground experience.

This is an excellent chance to join a growing team delivering high-quality technical work across a range of mining projects, with strong exposure to NI 43-101 studies, mine planning, and strategic project development.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support underground mine design and planning activities
• Contribute to NI 43-101 technical reports, including mining sections and OPEX/CAPEX estimates
• Develop mine schedules, layouts, and optimization strategies
• Utilize industry-standard software including Deswik, AutoCAD, and VentSim
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across geology, geotechnical, and processing
• Provide technical input across scoping, PEA, PFS, and FS-level studies
• Support project delivery and client engagement as required

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Mining Engineering or related discipline
• 10–20+ years of experience in mining engineering
• Strong background in underground mining (open-pit experience considered an asset)
• Experience working on or supporting operating mines (operator or site-based consulting)
• Proficiency with Deswik (essential), and familiarity with AutoCAD and/or VentSim
• Experience contributing to NI 43-101 reports (mining sections, cost estimates)
• Professional designation (P.Eng.) or eligibility in Canada
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a remote consulting environment
