Customer Service/Sales Associate (Jordan)

Job Summary Upper Canada Cheese is seeking a friendly, motivated Customer Service/Sales Associate to join our dynamic retail team. In this role, you will be the point of contact for customers, providing exceptional service while promoting and selling our products. Your ability to communicate effectively, demonstrate product features, and upsell will contribute to the overall success of our store. Bilingual skills and experience in technology sales are highly valued to enhance customer interactions and expand our reach. Responsibilities - Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs - Conduct product demonstrations to highlight features and benefits - Provide knowledgeable advice on product selection, especially in technology-related items - Handle sales transactions accurately using POS systems and cash handling procedures - Upsell complementary products and services to maximize sales opportunities - Maintain merchandising standards and ensure displays are attractive and organized - Manage customer inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy - Assist with inventory management, including stock replenishment and organization - Ensure excellent customer service by addressing concerns promptly and effectively - Promote store promotions, loyalty programs, and new product launches Skills - Experience with artisinal cheese and food products an asset - Fast paced and quick learner - work independently making decisions and as a team member - Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and active listening - Experience in retail sales, especially in technology or electronics sectors - Proficiency with POS systems, cashiering, and basic math for transactions - Customer service expertise with a focus on building rapport and trust - Sales skills including upselling, cross-selling, and product demos - Organizational skills for managing merchandise displays and inventory levels - Time management to efficiently handle multiple customers during busy periods - Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude - Knowledge of merchandising techniques to enhance product presentation Certifications: Food Handlers & Smart Serve required This role is ideal for individuals passionate about delivering excellent customer experiences while driving sales growth.
