A greenhouse manufacturing company is seeking a skilled MIG Welder for a short-term project (approximately 1 week). The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in welding and fabrication, with the ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively. This role requires mechanical knowledge and proficiency in various welding techniques, including MIG and TIG welding, as well as experience with hand tools and power tools. Duties Perform MIG welding on various materials, ensuring high-quality welds that meet industry standards. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project specifications. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and efficiently. Conduct rigging operations for lifting heavy materials using cranes or forklifts as needed. Engage in machining tasks, including the use of calipers for accurate measurements. Work with various punch and brake press machines. Collaborate with team members on assembly tasks to ensure timely project completion. Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols. Requirements Proven experience in MIG welding; Must be able to lift repeatedly Basic proficiency with measuring tape and blueprint reading CSA-approved steel-toe boots, automatic welding shield and welding gloves or leathers Reliable transportation to Vineland (no public transit available) Candidates must be able to start immediately Candidates must also be aware that a weld test will be conducted before starting Shifts: 8:00am 5:00pm, Monday to Friday Contract: Short-term (approximately 1 week) Wage: To be determined (based on weld test) Please let us know of any accommodations required in preparation of your interview as per the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act.
