As a Marine Outboard Mechanic, you will be vital in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining outboard motors. This position requires robust mechanical skills, a background in electrical and fuel systems, and the ability to perform routine maintenance effectively. You will work both in a shop and outdoors, ensuring that engines and vessels operate safely.
Key Responsibilities:• Diagnose electrical and fuel system issues in outboard motors • Perform oil changes and lower unit service • Repair or replace fuel and ignition system components • Conduct engine performance testing and troubleshooting • Maintain shop cleanliness and preserve tools
Requirements:• Experience with brands like Mercury Marine and Yamaha Outboards • 2–5 years working on marine engines preferred • Marine mechanic certification is a plus • Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills • Ability to lift heavy components, up to 50 lbs
