Position Title Program Director – Outdoor Education Centre Job Type: FT Permanent Job Locations Camp Kandalore, Algonquin Highlands Start Date: Late Aug 2026 (Specific Date TBD) Accommodations: Provided during Program delivery Reports To: Director Outdoor Education Centre Job Summary The Program Director is responsible for the coordination, supervision, and development of the OEC programs at Kandalore. The role includes supervision of staff, program planning, logistics management, and direct communication with visiting groups to ensure a high‑quality experience. The role continues year‑round, with additional responsibilities during the shoulder seasons. The Program Director oversees the daily operations of the OEC programs, ensuring an organized and engaging experience for participants. Responsibilities Develop program schedules, and arrange cabin accommodations and meal requirements Assign and manage duties, schedules, and time off for staff while assisting with hiring, training, and staff development Maintain program equipment and resources, manage effective program inventory Manage social media presence and ensure exceptional service delivery Conduct evaluations, lead staff meetings, organize events, support site maintenance, handle emergency situations Qualifications 4+ years of camping or outdoor education experience Familiarity with industry standards and best practices Robust organizational and communication skills Standard First Aid and CPR “C” required Minimum Bronze Cross required Pleasure Craft Operator Card (asset) Wilderness Advanced First Aid (asset) Class G Driver's License National Lifeguard or Instructor Certification (asset) The Association for Challenge Course Technology (ACCT) Level 2 (asset) Benefits Competitive compensation package that includes a group benefits plan Training opportunities A collaborative, engaging and fun community Accommodations provided from the start of September to mid‑June As a condition of employment, a clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening is required.
