Description
Overview We are looking for a dependable, hands-on team member to help maintain our self-storage property and provide excellent customer service. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys staying active, working both indoors and outdoors, and helping people find solutions. This position is split between facility upkeep and assisting customers with rental needs. Property Maintenance & Facility Care - Conduct regular property walk-throughs to ensure site safety, cleanliness, and operational readiness - Maintain curb appeal, including trash removal, lawn care, leaf blowing, and tree watering - Perform winter maintenance duties such as snow shoveling and sanding - Complete on-site maintenance tasks, including minor repairs and painting; report major issues to management - Monitor and maintain moving supply inventory, conducting counts and reporting items that need to be reordered - Support seasonal vehicle storage services, including vehicle intake and release (which includes battery removal and installation) - Install storage shelving as directed by management - Pick supplies from the local hardware store as needed Customer Support & U-Haul Rentals - Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner - Assist customers with unit selection and storage solutions - Meet customers for moving supply pickups and provide excellent customer service - Assist customers with U-Haul truck and trailer rentals, including reservations, preparation, and check-in/check-out procedures - Perform rental vehicle inspections and accurately document vehicle condition before and after rentals - Ensure U-Haul vehicles and trailers are clean, fueled, and ready for customer use - Explain rental procedures, towing basics, safety guidelines, and equipment operation to customers - Help customers select appropriate moving equipment, trailers, and moving accessories for their needs - Complete rental paperwork and process transactions accurately - Help customers with lock checks, basic move-in questions, and general rental support - Report vehicle damage, maintenance concerns, or operational issues to management promptly - Provide general support to ensure a smooth and positive rental experience Qualifications - Reliable and punctual - Must have a vehicle and a valid driver’s license - Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions - Able to lift up to 50 lbs - Basic maintenance skills and willingness to learn - Solid customer service skills - Ability to work independently and stay productive without supervision What We’re Looking For - Someone who takes pride in keeping things clean and organized - A problem-solver who notices small issues before they become big ones - Friendly, approachable, and professional - Detail-oriented and self-motivated Work Location: In person Pay: From $25.00 per hour Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2psv1u
