You as an Advanced Care Paramedic will: - Manages the onsite health care service provided to employees and subcontractors. - Manages and oversees the evaluation and treatment of employees with injuries and/or illnesses and referral to a physician or hospital, and subsequent follow-up treatment. - Follows-up on emergency hospital cases keeping the Claims Management, Site HSE team, project management, and the Regional HSE Director apprised of the status of patients. - Maintains confidential medical records in secure fireproof cabinets. - Assists in planning emergency evacuation procedures in conjunction with the site HSE coordinator and project management team. - Implements project medical database to support the reporting and follow up of injuries/illnesses managed by the on-site medical staff. Is this the right role for you? - Applicants must be registered with the Emergency Medical Assistance licensing board. - Must possess a Provincially approved current CPR/AED/First Aid at the Health Care Provider level. - Knowledge of current occupational health practices and applicable legislation is desirable. - Ability to work independently and as a member of a team. - Preference will be given to those with Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP) - Proficient in the handling of emergency situations. - Knowledge of medical record keeping requirements in accordance with standards of professional practice, applicable governmental regulations, and HSE requirements. - Knowledge of basic HSE programs and measures for the prevention of illnesses and injuries. - Proficiency and experience in interpreting and evaluating regulatory safety standards where applicable to health regulations. - Knowledge of and experience with data management systems and computer hardware/software. - Skilled in the handling of emergency situations and decision making. - Knowledge of and experience in organizational and medical management and the principles and methodologies involved in medical practices. - Skills in verbal and written communication. - Must have, or be eligible for, CSID (PWSGC) Secret Level Security Clearance.
