Emergency Care Paramedic - Alberta Health Services, Wainwright Region (Tofield)

Join Alberta Health Services as a Primary Care Paramedic, assessing emergency situations and providing critical patient transport. This role requires managing minor medications and basic life support care throughout varying conditions.

As a Primary Care Paramedic, you will respond to emergency scenes, assist patients, and transport them using ambulances or other vehicles. This role demands physical endurance, enabling you to lift heavy patients and equipment while navigating harsh weather and remote locations. You’ll also lead the BLS crew and ensure emergency medical vehicles are properly stocked and ready for action.

Key Responsibilities:• Assess emergency situations to provide timely patient care • Administer basic life support and minor medications • Operate ambulances for patient transport between facilities • Maintain readiness of EMS vehicles and equipment • Work in diverse weather and terrain conditions

Requirements:• Registration with Alberta College of Paramedics • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support CPR certification • Valid class 4 Alberta Operator License • Successful completion of the F.A.R.E. test • Experience in EMS environments preferred
