Position Details Position #: 205920 Expected Start Date: November 30, 2025 Union: SUN Facility: Wilkie Health Centre City/Town: Wilkie Department: Primary Care Sites - Nurse Practitioner Type: Full time regular FTE: 1 Shift Information: Days Hours of Work: 14 shifts of 8 hours per 3 weeks Relief: No Float: No Field Hours: No Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Nurse Practitioner $52.590 to $62.910 Travel Required: No Role Overview Advanced practice nurse with knowledge and skills gained through additional education and experience. Nurse blends an in-depth knowledge of nursing with the legal authority and autonomy to order diagnostic tests, prescribe pharmaceuticals and perform specific procedures in the management and treatment of common acute illnesses and stable chronic conditions patients. Position practices within a framework of evidence-based primary care, holism, health promotion, and disease and injury prevention. Practice involves building partnerships with individuals, families, and communities. This includes community needs assessments; supporting inter‑skilled collaboration and participating in continuous improvements through evaluative processes/projects. Provides clinical assessment and treatment strategies that reflect in-depth knowledge of the care populations. Human Resources Exemption No Experience - Three years fulltime experience as a Registered Nurse - One (1) year experience with community development/health promotion activities Education - Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) Licenses - Valid Class 5 driver’s license Other Education and Training - Master of Nurse Practitioner is acceptable - Basic Cardiac Life Support Level C Certificate (BCLS) - Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner Specialization Competencies - Decision making skills - Problem solving skills - Organizational skills - Facilitation skills - Leadership skills - Communication skills to transfer knowledge/skills - Research skills Knowledge and Abilities - Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi‑disciplinary team - Ability to develop and deliver formal education programs - Knowledge of the diversity of cultures, values and traditions Other Information - Travel within the region and provincially - Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS) - One (1) year nursing experience in a primary health care setting preferred - For more information on the town of Wilkie please visit - Wilkie is located approximately 56 km south of North Battleford - May be eligible for additional incentives, please see Ministry of Health website - May be eligible for the Rural & Remote Recruitment Incentive of up to $50,000 Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2prxgq
