As Welder you will be responsible for welding and fabricating metal components using appropriate techniques and equipment to fabricate components of our snowplows. In your role in the Assembly Department, you will be responsible for final assembly and sub-assembly of components required to complete products to specifications. Responsibilities - Read and interpret blueprints to understand project specifications - Perform production welding, fabricating, and assembling tasks according to project requirements - Utilize hand tools, welding machines, plasma cutters, and cranes effectively - Inspect welds for accuracy and quality control - Conduct inspections of products during various stages of production to ensure compliance with specifications. - Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment Qualifications - Proficient in blueprint reading and mechanical knowledge - Mechanically inclined - Ability to weld, assemble, and fabricate metal components - Familiarity with various welding techniques and equipment - Relevant certifications or training in welding - Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Physical strength and stamina; ability to lift 50 lbs or more Job Type: Full time Pay: $22.00-$26.00 per hour Benefits - Company pension - Dental care - Employee assistance program - Extended health care - Life insurance - On-site parking - Vision care Experience: - Welding: 5 years (required) - Mechanical assembly: 3 years (required) Licence/Certification: - Canadian Welding Bureau Certification (required) Location: - London, ON N5V 5E9 (preferred) Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2o2urb
