Maple Leaf Foods is searching for an experienced Power Engineer to support critical operations within a structured 12-hour rotating shift setup. Your skills in ammonia-based refrigeration and steam generation will play a key part in plant efficiency.
As a Power Engineer, you'll ensure adherence to health and safety standards while maintaining operational equipment. You will perform essential monitoring, inspection, and logging duties to meet food safety and TSSA compliance. This fast-paced role demands a self-motivated individual who is detail-oriented and able to address issues promptly.
Key Responsibilities:• Log and test all steam generation activities • Maintain refrigeration systems to safety standards • Contribute to equipment repairs and installations • Address work requests efficiently via maintenance systems • Promote a safe, healthy work environment
Requirements:• 4th Class Stationary Engineer certification (minimum 2 years) • Class B Refrigeration Operator License required • Experience with steam and ammonia systems • Ability to communicate effectively in English • Must be reliable and cooperative
