Electrical Engineering Co‑Op (1 year) Position Summary: A Manufacturing or Electrical Technologist student who performs a variety of lean engineering initiatives and product implementation assignments supporting Manufacturing Engineering and Operations initiatives for water/wastewater treatment equipment. Working as partof a cross‑discipline team in a collaborative environment you will be involved in many aspects of the product lifecycle. Products supported will directly impact water/wastewater quality globally.
Accountabilities
Carry out assignments of substantial variety and/or complexity requiring a sound understanding of related engineering principles and practices
Build rapid prototypes of product jigs and fixture concepts to validate new processes
Build electrical panels for new equipment
Includes electrical schematics, electrical layouts and BOM creation of power and control panels
Build production and test equipment (panel design and layout, component selection, wiring, HMI programming, testing, implementation, documentation)
Write process specifications, test protocols and test
Act as a technical resource to other departments
Produce professional design drawings / documentation
Participate in testing verification
Qualifications
Post‑secondary enrolment in Manufacturing or Electrical Technology program
Proficient in using ACAD and SolidWorks software and strong computer skills is an asset
Ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly
Hands‑on skills like soldering and using basic hand tools
Ability to work both independently and as a productive member of a development/sustainment team
