About the opportunity:

The incumbent will be a member of the Research Innovation and New Technology team providing technical support to the R&D VP / RINT Team in researching new technologies and/or business opportunities, and support the product development team members to deliver projects.


Learning Opportunities

  • The position will provide the student with the opportunity to learn about a variety of areas within the RINT scope.
  • Develop technical skills in laboratory techniques, data analysis, and sensory evaluation

Build communication and teamwork skills in a professional environment.



The attributes we are looking for:

  • Source opportunities external on Patsnap / Orbitor and scientific synthesis on research opportunities
  • Organize and report results using a variety of computer applications (Excel, Microsoft Word) including formulation / documentation transfer
  • Support team members with basic bench top investigations such as colour, viscosity, pH, texture, particle size, density.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Follow all London laboratory safety protocols and GMP and ensure cleanliness and proper maintenance of lab equipment.
  • Support the coordination and participate in sensory evaluations of dairy products. Record benchtop experimental data meticulously and assist in the analysis of results using basic statistical tools and software (e.g., Excel)
  • Responsible to ensure Quality is fundamental in execution of all work activities


What you will bring:

  • Currently pursuing a post-secondary education in Chemistry, Science, or a related field of study
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and capacity to learn current research system platforms
  • Strong knowledge in food science
  • Strong written/oral interpersonal and communication skills with internal and external sources
  • Strong capacity to use research platforms to enhance research capabilities
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to effectively handle multiple projects and the assignments of priorities within the defined project area
  • Creative problem solving and analytical skills

Compensation:

As part of our commitment to fairness, trust, and transparency and our ambition to be an Employer of Choice, the base salary range for this position is $21/h – $27+/h.


Please note: Along with a comprehensive Total Rewards package, your actual base salary will be fair, competitive, and be based on your skills, experience, and qualifications.
