Production Support Specialist - Uni First (London, ON) **Location:** London, Ontario **Job ID** 2602537 **Our Production Team is Kind of a Big Deal!** Uni First is seeking a reliable and driven Production Team Partner to join our Uni First Community. As a Production Support Specialist, you will support incremental improvements and oversee process implementation. You will have the opportunity to become an integral member within the Production management team at one of our many Uni First locations. Specialists will also be visiting designated plants on a bi-weekly basis to undergo on-site UBS training. **Career Growth:** Upon program completion, there is an opportunity for Specialists to transition to members of the Production management team at one of our various locations. We believe our diversity makes us who we are, and we strive every day to build a culture where everyone feels welcome. **What youu2019ll be doing:** u2022 Support the launch and implementation of production programs or systems. u2022 Serve as a subject matter expert and train department personnel on production process. u2022 Provide on-site support to team partners and management. u2022 Support Production initiatives such as UPM, serialization, auditing, and improvement visits. u2022 Support changes in corporate initiatives, direction, goals, and priorities to Production management. u2022 Support policy and procedure adherence u2022 Support the development and execution of production strategies. u2022 Assist locations improve performance on key production metrics. u2022 Help evaluate ideal labor needs, cost controls, process and policy compliance. u2022 Identify key areas for improvement with large ROI and work with each location to overcome production shortfalls. u2022 Support and drive efforts to correct deficiencies found during monthly and annual soap vendor audits. u2022 Work with locations to improve compliance with basic wash process procedures (i.e., turn time, proper loading, equipment utilization, proper formula use, and chemical cost reduction). u2022 Assist in managing action for each location where opportunities for improvement are identified, measured, prioritized, and driven by working with location leadership. u2022 Assist new plant start-ups. u2022 Complete other duties that may be assigned as required. **Qualifications** **What weu2019re looking for:** u2022 A degree from an accredited college or university is required. u2022 Must be at least 21 years of age or older. u2022 A valid driveru2019s license and a safe driving record is required. u2022 Production and Stockroom experience is strongly preferred. u2022 Bilingual in English and Spanish is strongly preferred. u2022 Strong project management skills and attention to detail. u2022 Strategic problem-solving capabilities. u2022 Excellent intra-personal and communication skills. u2022 Ability to complete tasks under minimal supervision and meet task deadlines. u2022 Capability to learn UBS applications. u2022 Ability to travel between 50%-75%. Approximately 2-3 weeks of travel per month across our various Canada locations. u2022 Ability to work potential weekends due to travel and deployment schedules. u2022 A valid passport to travel in and out of the U.S. is required.
