Job Description3M is seeking a Controls Engineer for its plant engineering team located in London, Ontario. This role focuses on manufacturing electrical engineering with responsibilities around maintenance, capital projects, and operational improvements. Impact You'll Make in this Role Lead the maintenance team and contractors on execution of capital projects. Implement EHS, renewal, and operational improvement projects. Determine poorly performing equipment and optimize output. Support production by attaining high runtime and quality. Maintain and troubleshoot automated equipment (PLC, controls, VFD). Support equipment maintenance and other engineering teams. Your Skills and Expertise Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher in electrical, electronics, or mechatronics engineering. Three (3) years of reliability and/or design engineering experience. Current, valid driver's license. Additional qualifications that could help you succeed: PLC programming, motors and/or VFD drive experience. Mechanical or process engineering experience. Rockwell and Allen‐Bradley branded hardware experience. Ability to work in a quick‐paced setting with changing needs. CAD knowledge. Analytical and troubleshooting skills for line‐down system failures. Interpersonal skills for interacting with stakeholders. Independent or team‐based work. Six Sigma training is an asset. Compensation The expected compensation range for this position is $93,463‐$114,233, which includes base pay and variable incentive pay, if eligible.
