Java Application Developer (London)

Job Title - Java Developer Start Date: ASAP Location – London, ON(2d onsite) SUMMARY OF DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES: Within a pod as a developer with a team that includes a product owner, business system analyst, developers, and quality engineers, contribute to the design, development, and build all the components required for Java web enabled and database driven applications. Apply analytical skills to resolve problems and deliver solutions. Design and develop quality solutions for systems issues consistent with project objectives. Develop, implement, and maintain solutions that maximize system availability. Periodic scope assistance. As part of this team, prime responsibility will be to: - Work with other team members to cooperatively design, develop and deploy quality solutions to satisfy project objectives and client requirements. Writes, tests and debugs code. Participates in code reviews. - Take part in construction of the requirements, design, testing and deployment documents. - Ensure consistency in coding standards. - Ensure required documentation is housed in the project repository and that knowledge transfer has occurred to full time staff upon completion of contract term. MUST-HAVE Hard Skills: 1.) 8+ years of experience within Java, .Net, C#, Java Swing, UI front end 2.) Experience within API SOFT SKILLS: 1.) Strong communication skills (written and verbal) 2.) Strong interpersonal skills are required 3.) Self-motivated, well organized, able to work both independently and in a team environment 4.) Attention to detail and someone who is a self-starter and adaptable NICE-TO-HAVE 1.) AI experience 2.) Agile/Scrum experience 3.) Banking or Financial institution experience 4.)
