Director, Operations, Process Optimization & Data (London)

Key Responsibilities - Operational Architecture & Business Administration (20%) — own the firm's operating model across both companies; partner with the Controller on the annual operating plan and budget; provide regular performance reporting to the Managing Partners. - Data, Analytics & AI Capability (25%) — own the firm's data strategy and roadmap; build a firm‑wide reporting and analytics layer; define the KPI framework; lead the responsible adoption of applied AI; establish data governance covering access, retention, privacy, and audit‑readiness. - Project Portfolio & Service Model Execution (20%) — direct an active project portfolio across operational, technology, and compliance initiatives; lead the rollout of the firm's restructured client service delivery model. - Technology, Systems & Process Optimization (15%) — own the firm's technology and process roadmap including CRM, financial planning software, perks administration platforms, cybersecurity, and process standardization. - Regulatory & Compliance Coordination (10%) — own operational oversight of compliance across CIRO, FSRA, CAPSA, and PIPEDA; direct the CAP Compliance Program. - Organizational Design & Change Management (5%) — partner with operational leadership on organizational design and lead change management for firm‑wide initiatives. - Policy Development & Governance (5%) — own firm‑wide operational and data policies; ensure SOPs are documented and utilized. Qualifications - 10+ years of progressive operational leadership experience, with at least three years in financial services, insurance, or benefits consulting. - Demonstrable experience building, sponsoring, or leading a data and analytics function; at minimum, fluency with the work and credibility leading practitioners; ideally, hands‑on experience designing reporting infrastructure, KPI frameworks, or AI implementations. - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Finance, Information Systems, Analytics, or related discipline. MBA, CPA, or graduate work in Analytics or Information Systems an asset. - Working knowledge of Canadian financial services regulation spanning CIRO, FSRA, CAPSA, and PIPEDA. - Experience leading multi‑disciplinary teams across more than one business line; previous P&L; responsibility preferred. - Strategic clarity paired with technical credibility; ability to evaluate vendor claims and translate technical complexity into business decisions. - Decisive judgment under uncertainty; comfort operating with delegated authority. - Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence at the partner level. - Robust assets: Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt or higher - PMP - Data and AI credentials (e.g., Certified Analytics Professional - BI platform certifications - AI governance certifications); Experience leading organizational change initiatives at scale - Life insurance licence.
