Posting Period Open: May 29, 2026 Closed: June 5, 2026 Non-Union Department Name Psychologist - Children's Hospital The Psychologist is responsible for providing consultative psychological services diagnostic, assessment as well as group-based therapies to both in and outpatients receiving care at Children's Hospital. The Psychologist will be providing services to patients in, Paediatric Diabetes, Gastroenterology, Nephrology, Cystic Fibrosis and other medical services in Children's Hospital. In addition to direct service, they also provide education, teaching, research and serve in a supervisory role within the hospital and maintain internal and external communication links with health care professionals dealing with psychological programs and services.. Regular Full-Time Rate of Pay: $68.26 - $85.34 per hour Qualifications - Doctoral degree in Psychology required - Registration (or eligibility for registration) with the College of Psychologists of Ontario - Minimum two years of recent relevant experience - Experience working in a Children?s Hospital - Authorized (or eligibility to be authorized) to provide Clinical Psychology and Health Psychology services - Authorized (or eligibility to be authorized) to work with Children and Adolescents - Demonstrated knowledge of relevant legislation (e.g., Mental Health Act, PHIPA, HCCA, PHA) - Demonstrated ability in working with interprofessional health care teams - Demonstrated advanced diagnostic skills and expertise in psychological assessment/evaluation, Biopsychosocial case conceptualization - Proven advanced ability to apply ethics, standards and jurisprudence - Demonstrated advanced ability to establish effective interpersonal relationships - Demonstrated advanced verbal and written communication skills - Demonstrated flexibility and a commitment to working within an academic environment - Demonstrated excellent time management and organizational skills - Demonstrated ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks effectively - Demonstrated practice and commitment to the principles of patient and family centered care - Demonstrated practice and commitment to patient and staff safety at LHSC - Demonstrated practice and commitment to LHSC's vision, purpose and values - Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis Has your experience been obtained through alternative pathways?
