Duties - Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and menus. - Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety and handling regulations. - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items. - Assist in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for recent dishes. - Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed. - Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. - Adhere to all health and safety standards while operating kitchen equipment. Qualifications - Previous experience in the food industry, preferably in a restaurant or commercial kitchen setting. - Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and meal presentation. - Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices for food handling. - Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. - Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team setting. - Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
