Job Overview

Under the supervision of the Manager, Creative Services and in conjunction with Reputation and Brand Management and Corporate Communications staff, the incumbent will lead the development and execution of a variety of creative solutions through graphic design, motion graphics, videography&photography to strengthen the brand identity in print and digital forms for promotional, recruitment, marketing and event purposes. Responsibilities

Graphic Design

Analyze client needs to create and produce print, video and animated content that conveys the Fanshawe brand’s voice and message. Design, produce and edit professional quality print&digital materials. Create storyboards and execute on them. Develop motion graphics and animations. Create, edit and source images for ads, creative assets, social media, and website. Produce, coordinate and project manage video development. Assemble optimized final output files in print and media formats.Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and internal clients on corporate, brand and product marketing. Research, develop, and execute on creative concepts aligned with brief and brand style guidelines. Understand AODA requirements for print and video design, including accessible PDF documents.Takes creative feedback and adapts projects accordingly. Finalize creative look&feel of concepts and adapt to necessary formats (event materials, advertising, website, etc.). Articulate design decisions based on project goals, strategy and design theory. Provide advice, direction and review workflow of work‑study students. Reputation&Brand Management Support Functions

Provide technical support for the reputation and brand management department as needed. Troubleshoot and research ways to creatively capture marketing ideas and stay current with emerging trends. Provide internal clients with professional guidance in print and multi‑media. Interact with internal clients, external vendors and RBM to provide guidance and assistance.Attend meetings and actively participate in presentations. Provide job/print costing requirements as needed. Provide livestreaming&webinar support for corporate events. Provide feedback and art direction to clients to reorient off‑brand materials. Maintain YouTube channel and organize playlists, upload, and provide links. Maintain and organize creative asset storage (photos, b‑roll, logos, etc.) following documented processes.Work with Manager on project details, scheduling and reset when processes break. Act as backup for project intake process&creative queue. Event Support

Assist with event preparation, set‑up, dismantling, and overall support during special events and recruitment functions. What You’ll Bring

Post‑secondary 3‑year diploma/degree or equivalent in Advanced Diploma in Graphic Design. Minimum 5 years of related work experience in a combination of graphic design, motion graphics, photo and/or video production. Advanced understanding of design tools and platforms, including Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere).Keen eye for design and excellent understanding of design principles. In‑house creative experience is an asset. Strong understanding of designing artwork for multiple platforms and uses. Strong DSLR camera skill and knowledge of mobile photography&videography. Experience with lighting, audio recording and production in field and studio. Strong asset management and organizational skills (tagging, referencing, archiving). Comprehensive awareness of current and emerging design, social media, and technology trends. Tech‑savvy and passion for all things multimedia.Excellent communication, organizational, team building, interpersonal and leadership skills. Educational Credentials
