Resource Consultant (London)

Reporting to the Resource Consultant Supervisor, the candidate will provide consultative service delivery to support early learning and childcare (ELCC) programs, promoting child participation and inclusion. Duties and Responsibilities - Provide educators with training, coaching, and modeling of specific interventions and techniques through regular visits to ELCC programs. - Collaborate in the development and maintenance of Individual Support Plans (ISPs). - Assist in developing curriculum and classroom adaptations and modifications. - Provide community education and training, including presentations to parent groups, college programs, and other professionals, as well as in-service training to ELCC programs. - Maintain all documentation as required by legislation, program policies, and procedures. - Carry out established practices as required under licensing and the Childcare and Early Years Act. - Maintain positive working relationships with CLH staff, the Early Intervention Team, educators, and the community. Qualifications - Diploma in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or equivalent required. - Member in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators, with training/experience/education related to working with children with special needs. - Resource Consulting Post Graduate Certificate preferred. - Minimum two years experience working with children (0-12) with developmental support needs and sound knowledge of child development essential. - Proven ability to work independently. - Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills. - Ability to maintain confidentiality. - Flexible hours based on program needs, including evenings. - Proficiency in both written and verbal skills in a second language considered an asset. - Valid "G" driver's license and vehicle access for employment. - Strong knowledge and respect for Indigenous, First Nations and Métis traditions and practices considered an asset. Compensation Hourly compensation of $27.52 with an Early Childhood Education Diploma. Hourly compensation of $29.48 with ECE and Resource Consultant Post Graduate Diploma (or equivalent).
