Insurance Review Manager (London)

Job Overview Insurance Review Manager – Sun Life Canada. Hybrid work model: two days per week in office, remainder remote. The role focuses on managing and enhancing the Insurance Review Program, working across multiple third‑party distribution partners and advisors. Key Responsibilities - Plan and conduct audits of MGAs, National Accounts, and third‑party advisors. - Perform risk‑based advisor desk reviews and develop annual compliance audit plans. - Execute testing, document findings, and report results to management. - Identify, communicate, and monitor escalation of compliance issues. - Track remediation of identified risks and assess program effectiveness. - Maintain effective relationships with compliance, business governance, and line‑management stakeholders. - Lead multiple projects concurrently, collaborating with cross‑functional teams. Required Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in a related field. - 5–7 years of experience in regulatory compliance, operational/business controls, testing, or internal audit in financial services/insurance. - Experience conducting audits of insurance advisors (asset). - In‑depth knowledge of insurance regulatory requirements and CLHIA guidelines. - Robust understanding of MGA/NA firm audit procedures, planning, and sampling methods. - Proficiency in gathering and analyzing data, presenting concise findings, and translating legislation into business impacts. - Proficiency in English; French bilingualism required for Quebec positions. - Recognized professional accounting designation (e.g., CPA/CA, CIA, CMA, CGA) is an asset. - Experience in data analytics (asset). Preferred Skills - Analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities. - Strong independent and team‑based work ethic with the ability to manage multiple priorities. - Adaptability in a dynamic environment, quick learning of new processes and tools. - Excellent verbal and written communication and teamwork skills.
